And even Arcan's megabrain can't predict how far the Sellites will go ...

Kwaide The Ammonite Galaxy Book 2 eBook Gillian Andrews
This is book two in the Ammonite Galaxy series and is a young adult science fiction. Although science fiction is not really my thing, this series is better than I had expected. I think it is because the characters have some depth to them. Their personalities are unique; there are close friendships, and also humor. They are involved in a war for independence on Kwaide, the home of one of the characters. There is plenty of intrigue and fighting to liven up the story. Some of the adventures pushed it a bit much for me, but I think younger readers will love it.
I have a little more trouble with the lake that is alive and some of the other unhumanlike creatures, but they do add an element of excitement to the story. It is really my own prejudice about science fiction coming to the forefront.
I would recommend, especially to young readers. There are some positive messages about friendships, sacrifice, and love.
This book picked up right where the first ended and might be difficult to follow the background without reading book one first.

Kwaide The Ammonite Galaxy Book 2 eBook Gillian Andrews Reviews
Kind of reminds me of Andre Norton. I am currently reading the third book in the series. Good read, try it for yourself.
I just finished Kwaide and I can't believe I have to wait for the next book in the series (
Grace, Six, Diva, Cimma and Arcan are back along with the cast of supporting characters from "Valhai" plus new characters. The characters are growing in character, personality and years. The villains are even more villainous. And the dillemas are more complex.
Life isn't cut and dried and the more choices you have in life sometimes the harder it is to try and make the right one. Things (and people) are seldom what and who you think they are. The "kids" from "Valhai" are getting even more reminders of that in this sequel. The fun continues as Diva and Six continue their verbal sparring. The friendship between Grace, Diva and Six continues to be strong.
I'm no "rocket" scientist, but the science in the books seems really well researched and written and I really can't wait to see what happens next!
